thunder::tech is seeking an Account Services Lead to join our Account Services Department (ASD). The ASD provides account management and planning, strategy services, project coordination, media buying and planning as well as business development services. As a truly integrated marketing agency, this department drives our business as we can be an account-driven agency for clients.

Account Services Leads are proactive and eager to prospect for new opportunities including generating business from potential clients as well as managing and growing lasting client relationships. Account Services Lead are responsible for developing solutions and educating existing and potential clients, networking, and managing targeted outreach within the community. This position requires a motivated, organized and strategic thinker who is proactive and lives to solve problems and connect-the-dots for clients.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Work remotely within an existing Account Services Group to develop, maintain and expand client relationships within the Southeast Michigan market
  • Be a consultative resource for clients that place their trust in thunder::tech to grow and transform their business
  • Grow our market and product portfolio through promoting innovations, creating solutions for clients and effectively executing marketing plans
  • Work with our Business Development Team to continue to research and build relationships with potential clients that has been started over the course of the past 2 years
  • You'll be living within, and managing a territory that consists primarily of Southeast Michigan, but can grow to include Northwest Ohio and other points in Michigan as opportunities arise.
  • As a result of this, travel is expected to be mainly regional with occasional trips outside the area including monthly visits to the home office in Cleveland
  • We anticipate that after a ramp up of this position that the “Job Title” could be out of the office 50% of the time connecting with current and new clients within the territory
Primary Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and to be able to conduct themselves with confidence
  • Strong organization and time management skills are required
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to translate empathy for client needs
  • Entrepreneurial thinking to develop and present solutions
  • A team-oriented person who has the motivation for creating and then selling solutions to clients
  • The ability to work independently in a satellite office
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once
Expected Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related program
  • We request a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and/or account-based sales
  • Prior agency experience is a plus
