Open Positions::
Web Development Intern::
We are looking for individuals interested in an available part-time/internship position on thunder::tech’s development team. This position will begin as early as May with completion dates yet to be determined.
Duties for the internship could include:
- Development of web applications and dynamic web sites
- Design and management of databases
- Providing updates on the status of projects for both clients and management
- Work in conjunction with various departments for the development of projects
- Staying updated on current technological developments for potential use in the workplace
Applicants should be familiar with many of the following:
- .NET 2.0 / 3.5 Framework
- ASP.NET – VB.NET (Web Services, Web Controls, XML, HTML, CSS, JAVAScript)
- MSSQL
- Any XML and ADO.NET experience is an added bonus
We are looking for individuals with at least one to two years of web development experience (classroom or otherwise) using ASP/ASP.NET and Object Oriented Programming with knowledge of N-Tier development and familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2005 or 2008.

Public Relations Intern::
The thunder::tech public relations department develops and executes communications strategies in the areas of media relations, corporate communication and editorial services. thunder::tech is an integrated marketing agency and the public relations department frequently interacts with design and development teams in multimedia or interactive projects.
The Public Relations Intern will work with the public relations staff to assist with client media relations campaigns and specific public relations projects/events. They may be responsible for researching, designing, planning, implementing and evaluating details of these campaigns.
Qualifications include pursuing or completion of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or marketing, strong written and oral communication skills and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AP style is required. Knowledge of Adobe products, HTML, search engine optimization and/or video production is a plus, as well as experience with research tools including Cision, MediaSource, and Lexis-Nexis. This position is part-time, and the duration will last through the summer with the possibility of continuing in the fall as well.
