Dual marketing perspectives from the 2013 SEMA show
If you are looking to attend one of the world’s largest automotive specialty products events, you need to get to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas! SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and it offers the best in automotive aftermarket products. This year, thunder::tech sent Andrea Aber (first-time SEMA attendee) and J.P. Krainz (year-two SEMA veteran). They both walked the entire Las Vegas convention center (what seemed like multiple times), talked to hundreds of people who just truly love the automotive industry, discussed a lot of marketing trends and took away a lot of great information to bring back to their co-workers and clients. As I was just recently in Las Vegas for a different trade show a couple weeks prior to SEMA, I kept being told I was in for a rude awakening by the crowd that SEMA brings to Vegas and boy were those comments right! I couldn’t believe how large the crowd was, how passionate people were and to be honest, the amount of social media being used.
