Summer Operations Department Internship

Howdy! thunder::tech is seeking an Operations Administrative Intern to provide organizational support for human resource, administrative assistance for the Operations Department and assist all Departments in the agency while completing daily to-do’s, with accuracy.

The intern will provide organizational support and thrive in a fast-paced environment where independence and determination are standards. They must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes and developments of processes. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain an organized and functional work environment
  • Maintain and organize file system for client documentation
  • Data entry for new project work, and communicating new project work to the team
  • Assist with new hire intake, orientation, scheduling and follow ups during employment
  • Assist in organizational training processes and procedures
  • Assist with leave tracking
  • Serve as back up during the absence of Operations Manager
  • Create data reports needed for all departments
  • Participate actively in team meetings offering input, opinions, and assistance
  • Assess, correct, and confirm previous entries in internal system
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Primary Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn new things
  • Passion for the marketing industry
  • Ability to adapt to an always-changing environment
  • Should enjoy the company of friendly office dogs
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and research abilities 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Grit and scrappiness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Basecamp required
  • A good sense of humor
  • Professional email etiquette
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other similar programs

Expected Experience: 

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Office Administrations, Human Resources, or a related field.
