Market Development Coordinator
The Market Development Coordinator supports the growth of the company by helping identify and engage potential new clients through inbound inquiries, networking activities, market research and outreach efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in business development by assisting with prospecting, preparing client communications and learning how to build relationships with prospective clients. The Coordinator will work closely with mid-level and senior leadership to gain exposure to new business opportunities, sales strategies and client engagement processes while developing foundational skills in business development and professional relationship management.
The Market Development Coordinator will be on the Market Development Team, which is a part of thunder::tech’s Client Services Department (CSD). The Market Development Team is responsible for day-to-day business development, such as responsive communications with prospects, collaborative sales planning and effective time management.
Location: Cleveland-Akron area with the ability to be in the office four days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday required).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Market Development Coordination
- Support proposal and agreement writing for the Client Services team
- Research and input prospect data into our internal database
- Support prospect outreach and business development communications
- Organize direct mail marketing campaigns
- Support further outstanding tasks requested by thunder::tech CSD, Market Development or Operations managers
Event Support
- Assist in managing attendee lists
- Managing elements of event production and catering
- Planning assistance for date, location and logistics
Operations, Documentation & Optimization
- Service and case study curation within internal knowledgebases
- Recommending evolution of processes as needed
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
- Strong experience in customer service, sales and working knowledge of digital and traditional marketing
- Exceptional communication and communication skills
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of:
- Microsoft Word & Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint or PowerPoint-like programs
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and improving processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in an agency or client-service environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
This position provides a market-competitive base salary between $15-18 per hour, with the final amount determined by the candidates' experience and qualifications.
