Howdy! thunder::tech is an integrated marketing agency headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. We’re searching for a Paid Search Strategist with experience in SEM to join our growing Digital Marketing & Communications Department. The Paid Search Strategist will report directly to the Performance Marketing Manager. This is not an entry-level position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, media, business, or a related field
- 3+ years in a paid search marketing role, either agency or client-side
- 3+ years of experience using Google Analytics (or similar analytics platform) to track & measure campaign performance
- Expertise in paid search self-service platforms (i.e. Google Ads, Microsoft Ad Center)
- Experience with Moz, SEMRush, Ahrefs or other search engine analysis platforms
- Experience creating & delivering campaign reports to relevant stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- A detail-oriented mindset, focused on driving results and analyzing data to gain insights and opportunities for growth
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience, and strong understanding of how paid search & organic search can be used in tandem to deliver results
- 1+ years of using Google Tag Manager and implementing tags & events
- Google Ads and Google Analytics Certification
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Experience with Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Business Manager and other social media advertising platforms
Responsibilities:
- Expect and enjoy a fast-paced environment with a can-do, collaborative atmosphere
- This role will be responsible for helping to oversee, execute, and optimize paid search, paid social and other advertising strategies meeting KPI’s with defined success metrics and measurable ROI
- Bid management within paid search and social media platforms
- Campaign creation and deployment
- Keyword research and development
- Reporting and monitoring campaign performance and results
- Ad writing, including copy optimization and A/B testing
- Working with clients in various industries including, but not limited to: industrial manufacturing, B to B, eCommerce, travel and tourism, non-profit and higher education
- Collaborating with content writers and creative design to deploy first-rate digital content
- Provide thorough analysis of paid search campaigns via bid management and reporting tools to ensure each is meeting its KPI and ROI objectives
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on paid search and paid social campaign performance
- Conduct audits for both paid social and paid search clients
