No Off-Season for Innovation
Summertime used to mean a slowdown in marketing. Not anymore. At thunder::tech, our summer was buzzing with new projects, important partnerships and nonstop conversations about AI. To put it mildly, it was anything but quiet around here this summer.
AI was the topic of the season—every brand wanted to talk about it. Since tech is in our DNA (literally in our name), we’ve been swimming in these waters for a long time. We partnered with ai12z (website chatbots) and Scrunch AI (AI-powered search tracking) to help clients stay ahead as consumer behavior shifts fast.
We also welcomed exciting new work across thunder::tech's industry sector practices:
Manufacturing & Industrial: Driverge, Seaman Corporation., Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Everett Industries and more
Consumer & Retail: A global tire brand plus multiple home products and service brands
Destination & Hospitality: Six Flags, a Chicagoland theater complex and more museum website launches
Professional Services: A top Michigan law firm, Ohio’s leading executive search firm, a national engineering firm and a Nashville music organization
Education: Major rebrands for two education institutions
On top of all of that, our ecommerce crew managed sales records across the summer holidays, our brand practice led nearly 100 stakeholder interviews and we supported two clients as they celebrated their 100-year anniversaries!
And we’re not slowing down as we turn towards sweater weather and pumpkin-spiced-everything season. Next up: we’re taking our Trends & Tastings marketing education event on the road. This time, we're following our roots of 20+ years of clients in Northwest Ohio and landing in Toledo on Sept. 11 at the Metroparks Glass City Pavilion.
Finally, I am so proud that our team’s exceptional work, high standards of client service and culture of innovation are being recognized. We recently won a regional Addy award for our creative work and were a finalist in WP Engine's web innovation award category. Most notably, thunder::tech earned another Inc. Magazine 5000 Award as one of the fastest growing companies in America, putting us in rare air of agencies that have achieved this five times.
This year has certainly been filled with plenty of noise, but bold brands are pushing forward. We’re proud to help them break through and boom!
I hope you all had a great summer, and here’s to a strong finish to 2025!
