Style Crest is a nationwide provider of manufactured housing products and services, supporting a growing network of brands, locations and customers across the U.S., and that rapid growth set the stage for their next challenge.
HVAC services were emerging as a new arm of the Style Crest business, raising a question: how should this new, service-driven offering be branded? Should it stand alone or live under the Style Crest name?
At the same time, Style Crest had acquired 44 manufactured housing–related companies—each with its own name, systems and digital presence. The transition required clear internal communication for newly acquired teams, while customers needed confidence that the quality of service they relied on would remain the same.
While juggling these major changes to the business, their digital experience was presenting its own challenges. The website ecosystem was fragmented, outdated and difficult to navigate, making it hard to showcase the full scope of offerings or inspire confidence in the brand’s future.
With acquisitions accelerating and tight timelines, Style Crest needed a partner who could move quickly, think holistically and build a scalable digital foundation.
Starting with their new HVAC services sector, thunder::tech created a brand from scratch: naming, voice and tone, logo and visual identity. Through a highly collaborative process, we developed a flexible brand system that could scale across locations while staying unified under the Style Crest umbrella. This led to a custom HVAC microsite approach with location-specific navigation, dynamically updating headers and a scalable, market-specific blog experience.
We then took a step back to look at the Style Crest brand as a whole. From manufactured housing to residential siding to their Timbermill products, we set out to untangle years of technical bloat and rebuild the digital ecosystem on BigCommerce to make navigation intuitive and transactions seamless.
